Le Petit Pali, Laguna Beach

The garden is a natural embodiment of the hotel’s ineffable sensibility. Marble fountains from Java, coral stone from Florida, and native flora of California and South America come together in a coastal meadow with a subtropical undertow. Fossilized coral stone sets a grid, the one constant in a garden built to feel loose. A collected assortment of pottery includes rich blue French Anduze marked by its classic medallion, ornamental Chinoiserie vessels, crisp white Chinese glaze, warm Italian terracotta, and sculptural French biots in galestro clay. Together they add a layer of timeless eccentricity drawn from the coastal moods of Laguna Beach.
